7 Important Truths

1
God Loves Us

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.  John 3:16   I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.  John 10:10

2
We Rebel Against God

All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.  Romans 3:23   Your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God Isaiah 59:2

3
We Cannot Solve This Problem by Ourselves

Now it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law. Galatians 3:11  Surely there is not a righteous man on earth who does good and never sins.  Ecclesiastes 7:20

4
Jesus Christ is the God-Given Solution

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.  Luke 2:11     Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through Me.”  John 14:6

5
In Christ, God Gives Us Every Spiritual Blessing

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace, which He lavished upon us in all wisdom and insight.  Ephesians 1:7-8

6
Christ Comes to Us in the Word of God and the Sacraments

Baptism . . now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.  1 Peter 3:21

Jesus took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.”  And He took a cup, and when He had given thanks He gave it to them, saying, “Drink of it, all of you, for this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.”  Matthew 26:26-28

7
God Gives Us Grace to Believe in Him and Gives Us Power to Overcome Sin.

Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved.  Mark 16:16    We were buried therefore with Him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.  Romans 6:4
